Quest Start!

Digital 2

The world finally stops spinning, and you get a chance to look around and see once again that you aren’t in 2022 like you expected. You still see the real world around you. But this time, instead of a small expo, you see a massive space with giant crowds and a wide variety of games and booths!

You look down at the time machine screen and see an alert on the screen once again: LOW POWER! FIG Bot powers to life once again with some advice;

“It looks like this unexpected stop in 2012 drained all of the power in the time machine, and now you need to recharge it! You must figure out how to recharge it with the available resources!”

You look around and see a variety of different outlets where you can recharge the time machine, but one problem is that they are all already in use! That means you must find another way to recharge the time machine!

You ask some attendees around you to see if they could help, and they all direct you to ask the head of Digital Curation if they have any batteries you could borrow!

You manage to find them, and ask if they would be able to help!

“Hello, nice to meet you! I’m Shae, the head of Digital Curation at 2019’s Boston FIG! And yes, I do have some batteries I can give you, but since these are my last batteries, I will trade them to you in return for answering my riddle!”

You agree to the trade, and they recite the riddle;

“What grows and changes, but also stays the same. What helps to make every game at the convention? What helps to change our lives and our futures!”

(Hint: The word starts with a “T.”)
